Hey everyone! How was your Saturday’s?!!? Mine was absolutely perfect! The snow fell all day yesterday, so we woke up to a beautiful winter wonderland this morning! Sure it was cold and it signalled the first day of true winter for us..but I loved it! So fresh and pure…it made me so excited for the holidays!!
We also went on a tour of my coworkers dairy farm today..and although the smell wasn’t the best (could’ve been worse!) I had a GREAT time! Got to feed the baby calves, watch the mature cows go through the merry-go-round to get milked and played with the farm dogs…its a life I’ve always believed I would love!! All in all, not bad for a chilly Saturday
My card today is probably one of the best images I’ve seen of Santa in a very long time..as soon as I saw it..I didn’t hesitate to scoop it up online!! I’m sure you’ll all agree…
This image reminds me of Santa sketches from long ago..so I went with a very simple yet rustic theme with this card. I stamped my image with PTI’s True Black ink on to Kraft CS and then layered it on to a Kraft CS card base. The DP is from Making Memories Mistletoe line. The image and sentiment are from Flourishes Santa, I Believe stamp set.
To add just a little bit of colour, I used Red Stickles on the holly berries in his hat..and then decided to colour in the rim of his glasses with my silver paint pen…
So, what do you think?? I hope you are all enjoying your weekends and staying warm..no matter where you are!! Take care everyone..see you next week!
Mona L. Pendleton - Oh my Dawn! I love that vintagey looking Santa! Is that a stamp? No wonder you grabbed it when you saw it – something like that you have to grab when you first see it or it will not be there when you go back! Waking up to a wintry wonderland sounds so dreamy!!!
Carla - I just love your cards! I can’t remember how I found you, but I’m so glad I did. I haven’t done any stamping/card making in quite a while, and your blog is just inspiring me to do some creating. I’m so jealous you had snow. I love snow, and am wishing we’ll have snow for Christmas. Thanks for sharing your gorgeous creations. Oh, take a minute and stop by my blog, I’m having a giveaway. Please feel free to throw your name in the “hat” if you think you’d be interested in what I’m offering.
Thanks again for great inspiration.
