Happy Wednesday Everyone!!!

Whew! We made it! Half way through the week and my gosh is it hot out there!! I had the worst day possible at work today but then you know what I got to do? I got to see my little niece Makiya who turns the big “1” in just 4 weeks and her smile and her giggle just made my entire day!! I can’t tell you how much I love that little munchkin 😉 And now I’m home, in the studio and came up with this little cutie..

Although this card fits perfectly for my Stampede week theme, this card is perfect for any lil cowboy in your life!! I can’t tell you how often I’ve seen little boys running around with these horse “sticks”..in fact, I have a picture of my brother as a kid with his cowboy hat and boots on that would be perfect for this post!! Thankfully for my brother though, I don’t want to fuss with the scanner tonight 😉

I used TCP’s Havin a Pow Wow stamp set for both the little boy and the Buckaroo sentiment. (BTW: TCP just released 3 new sets for summer! If you haven’t already, go check them out!!) The star is once again from PTI’s Star Prints set. This set has come in handy hundreds of times already!! And here is the fully finished card..

Tomorrow morning is our Stampede Parade that (lucky for us) goes right past our office! So I will be taking the morning to sit outside and watch the floats with a few good friends ( I hope to take pictures, but no promises!!) And then Friday night we’re hittin’ the grounds!! I really want to bring my camera with me for photos, but I might just have to settle with the little point and shoot digital instead:(
But, before I leave you for the evening..here are a couple more shots from our Old Town Office..

No Western theme is complete without a couple of cans of beans, now is it? I had soo much fun making these up!! So cute!!

And here’s just a cut out pasted on one of our walls..pretty neat hey? I picked up a few like these at our local Grand Rental Station..

Have a great night everyone!! See y’all tomorrow:)

Howdy!!

It’s Day 2 of Western Week here on the Blog and today I decided to create with My Favorite Things’ Ride ‘Em Cowgirl.. a super cute set that I had to have as soon as I saw it ( I knew it would come in handy for a week just like this one!)
But first, here are a few more shots from around the ol’ office..
This red bull is actually to signify the “bull” and “bear” markets of the Stock Market, but for this week I’ve repurposed him as a rodeo one:)
And of course, it isn’t the Old West until some Cowboy, somewhere is sleepin’!
On to the card!!!

I love how the little sheriff’s badge reads: Ms. Sheriff!! (Chuckle..)

And here’s a close up of the sentiment..

So thats everything for today!! I’ll see y’all tomorrow!!! Happy Crafting!!

How Y’All Doin’?

Its day one of Stampede week here in the Hat and we definitely have the spirit!! This morning, we spent a couple of hours decorating the office with straw bales, saddles, horseshoes and you name it! Nothing says “Old West” like an office smelling like barn:)

I’ll be showcasing a few pics of the office throughout the week..here’s the first 3!
Onto my card of the day:)I used TCP’s It’s a Western Thing (love it love it love it!) to create an Old Town scene and gun slingin’ sheriff!

For rustic embellishments I add PTI’s Rustic Twine and used my Star Punch to replicate the sheriff badge..

And here’s the full card!! (Click to enlarge)

Have yerselves a rootin tootin evenin’, I’ll be back tomorra wit another Western greeting from My Favorite Things 😉 Yeehaw!

Happy Sunday everyone:)

I don’t usually post on Sundays but have been browsing my favorite blogs/sites and can’t help but feel a surge of inspiration! It could be all the sunshine and the beautiful summer weather we’re having, but I’m feeling a huge tug towards vintage paper products, spending time with family and enjoying life..and I thought I’d share a few things that have inspired me lately..

Cosmo Cricket is an amazing paper company that has a vintage edge that I practically drool over and their Early Bird line of products is no different!! I fell in love with so many cards made with this line and was super disappointed when none of my LSS (local scrapbook stores) carried this line! But, thanks to the “miracle” of the internet..these beauties are headed my way in 7-10 days! YAY!! Also headed my way??? October Afternoon’s Cherry Hill line..(you can see I’m totally falling for anything to do with vintage and cherries!!

I can’t wait to get these goodies in my hand and create a huge mess of craftiness in my studio:)
Speaking of creating, the following two ladies inspire me daily..

Betsy Veldman has a vintage flair that leaves me in awe and I continue to look to her blog for inspiration whenever I’m in a creative rut..check out her blog and you’ll see what I mean!

And Elizabeth Kartchner is an inspiration for me on so many levels! I love her easy, relaxed style in scrapbooking and paper crafting and I love her laid back lifestyle that she reflects in all her photographs of her family..she reminds me to be true to myself and to not take life so seriously..take some time and head over to her blog.. I promise you won’t regreat it!!

So this is my inspiration right now…I want to go just a little more vintage with my style..be it in papercrafting, photography etc and I hope that you to are living the life you love and are taking every single moment in..you never know when it will be an amazing memory!
Have a great end to your weekend.. I will be back tomorrow with the start of my Stampede Week/Western Days cards..they are so fun!!!
Happy Crafting 😉

Hey All!

How is your week coming? I know mine is going full speed ahead! I can’t believe its Wednesday evening already!! I have soo much on my plate and some super exciting things coming up in my life that I’m practically bursting at the seams to tell you all, but it will have to wait just a little while longer 😉

My card today is headed straight for Victoria where our good friends will be celebrating their !st Wedding Anniversary next Saturday! It was one of the most beautiful weddings I’ve ever been to!! Here is them just one year ago:)
And here is their Anniversary card!

I finally inked up my Rubber Romance stamp that I bought specifically for anniversaries, isn’t it sweet?

The polka dot hearts and “XOXO” come from PTI’s Heart Prints..

YAY! I love sending cards in the mail..something fun and unexpected..which, as we all know is MUCH better than another stinkin’ bill!! Have a great night everyone 😉
Happy Crafting!
