Hey Guys!

We’re half-way through the week!! I hope you are all doing fantastic and are starting to plan your weekend activities! I know I am!!
Today’s card is in honor of my grandpa Petrick, who passed away 11 years ago today on his 73rd birthday. It was a very unexpected passing, but we were all able to say our goodbyes which is a blessing that not all families receive.
My grandpa was an amazing man, he was hilarious and strong and I have the greatest memories of him when I was growing up and that is something that can never be taken from me. What symbolizes my grandpa best is anything to do with camping as we would spend almost every weekend and every summer out at our cabin. And when I say “we”, I mean all 4 of my grandparents’ children and then all of us grandkids! It was a crowded place, but it was the best! We’d have bbq suppers, make popcorn and walk down to the outdoor theatre to watch movies, play at the beach, have pancake breakfasts..it was great!

And yes, you can tell by this photo that he was quite the character:)
So for my card today I used TCP’s new stamp set: Happy Camper. This set makes me giggle and I can’t wait to use it again and again!!
Okay so there were no bears at the lake, but we did feed a lot of deer and squirrels!
I used Liquid Applique on the clouds and the roasted marshmallow to make them light and fluffy:)

So there’s todays’ card!! I hope you guys have a great evening and I will be back tomorrow!!

Happy Crafting!

Hey guys!

Its Raspberry Suite Challenge time again! I LOVED this weeks colours..and I had to laugh because I went out shopping the other day and saw I display almost exactly like this one here, something tells me its the newest colour trend?

I wanted to use these stamps again (can’t get enough!) so this is what I came up with for this weeks’ challenge:

I used PTI’s New Leaf, Vintage Cream and True Black cardstocks as well as PTI’s New Leaf and Vintage Cream Vintage Buttons for embellishments..

And here it is, my entry for this week’s challenge! I can’t wait to hear what you think about it! Thanks for looking and have a great night!

Hey Guys!

I hope you all had a fantastic weekend! I can’t believe its Sunday night already:(Of course the weather is beautiful, nice and sunny and HOT! I got so many projects done this weekend, it was super productive and I even got a little R&R in too!

My project for today is a new card I made for Damon Lane’s here in town, which requested some new designs to stock their shelves. I’ve been obsessed with birdhouses this season and was super excited when Papertrey Ink released this set last month! I decided to combine Kraft cardstock with Lemon Tart for a laid-back, summery feel..

This card was super easy to put together, I stamped my image onto Stampers Select White with True Black Ink (all from PTI) coloured them in with my Prisma’s and mounted the image onto Lemon Tart CS and backed it with Lemon Tart Bitty Basics PP. The sentiment is from PTI’s ‘Boards and Beams” stamp set…

And for a finishing touch I used Lemon Tart Vintage Buttons with some Rustic Twine..

I LOVE this card…I’m inspired by all things rustic and whimsical lately, and this card definitely shows it!
Have a great evening everyone! Happy Crafting!

Hey guys!

You can find my card post for the day here. But today I thought I’d share some pics of our yard and of course my sweet “lil” doggie, Jake! I love being outside in the summer and getting my hands dirty in the soil. Watching something you plant from seed blossom into a beautiful flower really gives you a sense of accomplishment!! And there is nothing better to me than sitting back at the end of a long day and taking in a beautiful surrounding..

The Russian Olive was planted a few years back and its honestly my favorite place to hang out under and read..

My dad built this chair at a class a few years back and it seriously is the most comfortable chair in the yard! And the smell..it reminds me so much of our cabin out at the Lake..

I guarantee you that this peony will be blooming by weeks’ end!

And of course, one of my favorite flowers..the good ‘ol Daisy..

Alright.. Jakey and I are off for a late lunch and catching up on some reading under the Olive Tree..have a great day guys and I’ll be back tomorrow!

Ain’t he sweet?
