Hey Everyone!

I feel like I have been MIA lately, but its only been 4 days! I was waiting for my Star Prints set to arrive in order to make this card as I came up with this design in my head this weekend and couldn’t wait to see it! I love the end result and I can’t wait for you to see the sweetest little baby card..so lets get to it, shall we?

Doesn’t it just make you want to go, “aww”? lol. I know!! I chose my Bitty Baby Blessings patterned paper (polka dots, of course) and went off the colors in there for the rest of my card. I chose Lavender Moon, Spring Moss and Summer Sunrise. They aren’t traditional baby colours but I think they are just as sweet!

To start, I cut my base out of L.M, then used my Fiskars bubble border along the right hand side for some added “oomph”. I cut out my Spring Moss and patterned paper and then stamped the main image from Verve’s plain jane Little Star stamp. These were cut out with my small circle nesties and the summer sunrise with my small scalloped circle and adhered to the patterned paper. I added some Lemon Stickles to the stars for some sparkle 😉

The front of the card was cut a little shorter than the back so that I can stamp this little sentiment, also from Star Prints..
To finish, I stamped these star images that have the entire “Twinkle, Twinkle” poem on them in Summer Sunrise ink and adhered them with pop dots to stick out from the rest of the card. I then whipped some Summer Sunrise polka dotted ribbon around and VOILA!!
Ahh, I just love this card!! I can’t wait to make it for every single newborn that comes my way..later this week I will re-do this for a baby boy and show you this sets’ versatility! Have a great night everyone!

Hey everyone!!

Is this not a gorgeous what to start the weekend? I could really get used to this! I was bummed all day for having to sit in the office, but let me tell you..once 4:00 came I was outta there! (hee hee!) I made a bee line for home, packed up some supplies in my caddy, and headed for the patio!

I have a busy weekend ahead of me and needed to make a couple of cards so I thought I’d tackle it first thing this evening so that I can get them out of the way. I’ve been asked to make this card for my aunt and I’m not surprised.. I’ve been asked for this card quite a lot recently, and I love making it because its just so easy!!

I use Vintage Cream and Ocean Tides cardstock from Papertrey Ink, as well as Heart Prints sentiments and With Sympathy stamp sets..

I cut out a small rectangle of Ocean Tides, stamp it with the grass image and a few florals, stamp the sentiment out of Ocean Tides Ink directly on to the base of the card and finish with some Ocean Tides ribbon and a few of those ever famous silver rhinestones!!

This card is extremely versatile as the sentiment reads, ” Wheresoever you go, go with all your heart”. You can give this as a Good Luck card, Wishing you Well card or maybe someone is making a life change and they need a little encouragement! For whatever reason, this card suits the bill!!
I’m off to enjoy the sunshine.. we have a fire planned tonight to roast marshamallows..my first of the season!! YUM! Have a great weekend everyone!!

Hey Everyone! Happy Thursday!

Today I did something I feel absolutely wonderful about. Our local newspaper reported this morning that our SPCA desperately needed cat food both dry and wet and they needed immediate assistance. Without hesitation, a few of the ladies and I at my office scrounged up some money and after work we went and bought loads of cat goodies and took it over to them! They were so appreciative and it really felt amazing to do something so selfless!
When I was younger, I vowed that when I could afford it.. I would do everything I could to support the SPCA. And now that I can, there really isn’t anything better! 2 years ago, we adopted Jake (who has been the most unbelievably loyal and loving dog I have ever had) and last May and now this Sunday we have entered into the SPCA Dog Jog, a fundraiser for the shelter to buy medicines, food, beds etc. Its a great afternoon event where we load up the doggies, head down to the park and walk!! I raised $740 this year and I’m so proud of everyone who pledged me!! This money will go towards a very deserving business.
I decided that I wanted to create a line of pet cards and thought I would share this simple one for tonight. When a pet comes into our lives, they become a part of our families. And the only unfortunate thing is that they too often leave us way too soon. This card was created as a Pet Sympathy card, and I know that it will be used in the future when someone needs a little extra comfort
I used my With Sympathy: Loss of Pet set from Papertrey Ink, some Kraft cardstock and patterned paper to create this simple card and finished it off with a Vintage Button..
I’m sure we’ve all experienced a loss like this and although cards can’t make it all better, they definitely let you know that you aren’t alone!! If you have a pet, give ’em a cuddle tonight..for they truly are ‘man’s best friend’!

Hey Everyone!
Another week, another color challenge by Dawn McVey! I am starting to absolutely love these challenges as they force you to use colors you might not otherwise put together..and challenging yourself is always important when it comes to creativity!!

I’ve been noticing a lot of florals and twine lately, so I thought I’d use this challenge to give it my “best” shot! I cut 3 circles out using my sm. circle nesties, then scrunched them up in unfolded them, placed them randomly on top of one another and plopped on a button tied with twine..simple and easy, just how I like it!

Then I stamped my base with my Background Basics: Text Style stamp set that I just got delivered yesterday (YAY!), cut out a strip of Avocado and ran it through my Fiskars Threading Water border punch and wrapped some Raspberry Fizz around it! I realized though that the card needed something more than just a plain sentiment so then I cut another narrow strip of Avocado and used my Leaf Nesties to make these intricate leaves and created a stem!

I’m very happy with how this turned out and can’t wait to send it out to someone special! Thanks for checking out my entry..have a great night!

Happy Crafting!

Hey Everyone!!

I absolutely LOVED my day today..worked from 7:30-12, took my pooch Jake to his first ever grooming appointment (yay!) and got soo much stuff done, I love days like today!

A coworker of mine asked for a couple of wedding cards and a birthday card for a good friend and I thought I’d share with you what I came up with..

I made a card using the same stamp set as this post, but just changed up the patterned papers. Fun hey?

For the wedding cards, I used Eat Cake stamp set from Papertrey Ink, as well as their Chocolate Brown, New Leaf, Aqua Mist and Kraft cardstocks. This set was one of my first purchases from Papertrey and I still love it to this day! To finish off the florals on the cake, I used various sizes of rhinestones and stamped the sentiments from The Cat’s Pajama’s..

I’m really happy with how these all turned out and my coworker loved them too!
One last thing to share before I go.. I took Jake in to a local groomers this afternoon for his first ever grooming, I was so excited as this appointment was booked over a month ago! But when I went to drop him off they wanted me to leave him there for 4 hours!! Of course I did, but thats not to say it didn’t break my heart a little to leave him there:)Anywho.. 4 LONG hours later and look who I brought home..

Aww, isn’t he just handsome?!?! He smells amazing!! His fur is all bathed, trimmed and neat, his nails are clipped and he walked away with this cute lil bandana!! Aww..I just love him:)
Have a great night everyone!
