Happy Saturday everyone!!

I have a busy weekend ahead of me, today is my little niece’s 2nd Birthday party..I for the life of me cannot comprehend how she could possibly be this big already, but nevertheless, it’s here already! So I made her a super cute Mickey Mouse card that I will share with you next week along with photo’s of my big girl. But after the party I’m also off to the farm to visit my DBF and I couldn’t be more excited! Its been 2 weeks since I’ve seen him and all his family will be there this weekend too, I just love them all to pieces:)And, as it is his mom’s birthday next Wednesday I decided to make her a card! I am in love with all things shabby and beautiful and I have to say I’m very excited about this card..everything just seems to work!!

I used Kraft cardstock for my base, Prima DP, a vintage image from my stash, some glitter chipboard from K&Company and of course a beautiful rose from Prima as well..

Joanne really loves flowers so I hope I hit the nail on the head with this card! I hope she loves it:)Its shabby, vintage & romantic. Okay, I’m off to get ready for the weekend! Have a great weekend everyoe and happy crafting!!

Alright, so am I the only one making Christmas cards already?! (I can’t help it!) I love the holidays, and with all the new product releases coming out, I just had to go back in to my holiday stash and make a few goodies. I decided to go with a mini card set where each card measures 3 1/4 x 3 3/4″. I used Melissa Frances, Papertrey Ink & Crafty Secrets products..but didn’t they just come out darling?

Oh, I just love these little cuties!! Now I can’t wait to get my hands on the new Melissa Frances holiday line, Home for the Holidays, have you seen it yet? To DIE for!!

Here’s one more close up of the 2nd little cutie in this set..

I will be putting this sweet little set up on my Etsy shop shortly and will be back with more holiday goodness soon 😉 Happy Crafting!

Okay, so it’s not really the last days of summer…yet, but I find myself the last couple of weeks really looking forward to Autumn. Now, its no secret that I LOVE Fall..its the most amazing and beautiful of seasons to me! But I have a lot to look forward to and be thankful for and personally, the aisles of Michaels or no help whatsoever. Have you been there lately?! Their Halloween products are set up on their shelves, displays are being installed for Christmas stamps..its almost as if I were a kid in a candy store..September to December is where I really shine. I plan to start creating tons of Halloween & Christmas goodies for the ol blogaroonie VERY soon 😉

Coming up this weekend is my niece’s 2nd Birthday..how on Earth could she possibly be 2 is still escaping me! I went over to her house last night to help her mom & dad paint her bedroom into a beautiful princess oasis, but before I did she asked me to put her to bed and as I tucked her in she whispered, “Aunty, you are beautiful” and for a minute, nothing else in this world existed except for her..my sweet, precious little niece:)I can’t wait to post pictures of her birthday on here for you all to see next week!

And, as soon as her party is over I’m back on the road to my beau. And for the first time ever, I will be harvesting!! Yup, my beau and his family will start harvesting on Thursday and I will come for the night and Sunday to help lend a hand and then starting on the 22nd I will spend a week of my holidays riding in a semi, hauling grain and gettin dirty..oddly enough, I couldn’t imagine spending my holidays anywhere else!

So, like I said..many things to be excited for in the next few months..many, many things 😉 One of which I can hardly wait to announce (come back next Tuesday for a huge announcement that I’m very excited for!!)

Take care everyone and, of course, happy crafting!!

Brace yourselves…I’m actually about to post a card!! I know, I know..it’s pretty amazing:)Actually the truth is this move has gotten my daily routine out of whack and I am only now figuring out how to go about a “normal” day, and this includes figuring out my computer and downloading photo’s etc..but I think I’ve got it all figured out, so…on to the card!

As mentioned last week, I was able to dig around the boxes and create a homespun greeting card for my mom’s birthday over the weekend. Lately I’m all about vintage, shabby-chic and homespun designs..and nothing says homespun to me more than gingham!!!
The cardbase is made out of PTI’s Simply Chartreuse CS and DP is from October Afternoon ( I love this stuff!!)

There were a few different stamps sets used to complete the card, the french writing stamped on the background paper (see top photo) is from 7 Gypsies (Avignon), the jar and label are from PTI’s Friendship Jar (die cuts too!!) and the ledger in the middle on kraft is PTI’s Library Ledger.

To finish off the card I tied PTI’s cream twine around the card and topped it with a beauty of a flower from Prima..so, what do you think? Have a great weekend everyone and happy crafting!

I am in love with yet another beautiful blog..have you heard of it? Meadowbrook Farm is something of a dream & a goal of mine..ahh, the simple life in the country. If you have 5 mins that could easily turn in to an hour, click on the link above and immerse yourself in beautiful photography, yummy recipes and an inside look at a beautifully quiet lifestyle.

Now I know that rural living and farming isn’t everyones’ cup of tea and I am more than willing to admit that after 26 years of living in a small city, a farm life would be an adjustment..but its something I’ve dreamt about for years. I’ve always wanted to move out of the city, live in a beautiful farm house with a wrap around veranda, grow a huge vegetable garden & have flowers as far as the eye could see. I could imagine the pitter patter of my children’s feet while they follow me in the garden and their laughter while playing with the baby ducks that would wander thru the yard..yup, its so vivid it’s pratically real to me..and this blog just brings me right back to that dream. *sigh* someday that will be my reality..

Until then I will continue to wake up in my new home that is perfectly decorated to suit me and I will look out to the expanse of lawn in my backyard and pretend it’s my farm away from farm 😉
