Happy Friday everyone!!
Come on in..take a peek around my completely re-vamped blog, thanks to none other than the super talented Heather Rolin!! I gave her my simple ideas and she turned it in to something completely fabulous!! So..if you want a blog that screams YOU and is completely 100% unique..head on over to here..you won’t regret it, I promise 😉
![]() It is cold and windy here today..and just the idea of walking outside has me contemplating a night in with my afghan, a movie & a buttery bowl of popcorn..hmm..yup, that sounds perfect to me!! Ideally, I’d like to work in my studio and complete the card orders that are looming over my head..but if one were to visit me in my new “palace”…you would understand! I have been scrapbooking now for 10 years, cardmaking for 2 and paper obsessed all through out the years..and because of this obsession..I have a LOT of boxes to go through and organize Hmm..yup a lot of work to do around here..fun work, but work indeed;) On another note, how is your summer coming along? Mom’s birthday is this weekend and I will be cooking a drool-worthy meal for us as well as baking my favorite, Skor bar cake, for dessert. My beau plans on joining us for the celebrations (YAY!) and so I am looking forward to another beautiful summer weekend I’ll be back to post my birthday card for mom by the weekend..until then, I hope you are warmer than I am..take care and happy crafting!! Is any one out there? It’s me..the ever neglectful blogger!! I just realized its been about 2 months since I’ve written a single word on this poor neglected portal!! But, I needed to regroup, recharge and refocus my entire personal life and I have to say that the time I’ve spent away from this crafty blog has been well worth it!
My home that I took over in April is now fully completed and screams “Me” in every nook and cranny. I’m slowly settling in and introducing myself to this beautiful home, whom I’m sure has seen many a memory in its 70 years of life. I love its bright sunny views and its creaky hardwood floors..scuffs and all

On a more personal standpoint..I am finally at peace with myself. I am happier than I ever have been and more content than I knew possible. My family is happy and healthy, my friendships and strong and supported and I have met someone who not only makes me smile at the mere mention of him, but gives me butterflies every time I even hear his voice. Life is so beautiful right now
To top it all off..its SUMMER!!! I have big plans for these next couple of months..HUGE! I’m going to act like a child again, build campfires, play hard, get a golden sun tan, go camping & fishing and eat lots & lots of popsicles 😉 I love the heat and the sun and staying outside til the last glimmer of sun has gone behind the horizon for another day..

I am slowly setting up my new scrap studio and when I do I have been mulling over plenty of new ideas that I will be sure to share with you..stick with me, this is going to be a beautiful summer
![]() It has been absolutely beautiful here lately..we’re hitting 24 degrees most days (celcius..so that’s about 75 F!) I come home for lunch and sit outside enjoying the sunny weather and wishing I didn’t have to come back to this office of mine! For the most part (in winter), I’m very thankful for the job that I have. But, come Spring I’m wishing I had a job that allowed me to A) be outside, and B) have my dog with me wherever I went. But since I don’t see that happening any time soon..I’ll just make the most out of what I can have! Things have been going really great in my new house. Today marks 3 weeks that I’ve owned my home and already, soo much has changed! All the walls are painted, new light fixtures, kitchen completely gutted and ready for the new cabinets that came in last week and need to be installed and now I have a new front porch that I’m in looove with..it has a nice landing, strong and wide stairs and an oh so welcoming appeal! Once I build my new fence to match this place will have done a complete 180! I’ve already even worked up my flower beds and listed all the flowers that will be going in there shortly..my goal is to make people stop and see that with a little TLC, any house can sparkle 😉
AND, speaking of sparkle.. a little sneaky peeky of my new bathroom..eeek! I love it
![]() This is the old bathroom…
![]() And this is my bathroom now, not totally done..but wow
![]() ![]() Pretty much everyone told me I was crazy for wanting a black chandelier in my bathroom, but I didn’t care! I knew what I wanted and once it went in..the amount of compliments has been hilarious..isn’t it beautiful??! I painted the walls ‘Seascape Green’ from Pitsburgh Paints and the vanity a plain black. Changed the faucets and took out the medicine cabinet, which will be replaced by a flat, black trimmed mirror. I can’t wait to put this room all together and show you the final result! But for now, hope you enjoyed the peek!
Happy Wednesday everyone!! We are in the midst of a Spring storm here..its been snowing since early yesterday morning and now its finally changed to a steady rainfall. Its amazing how one week I am mowing the lawn for spring cleaning and the next week I’m shovelling!! But, I have to remind myself that all this moisture is going to make for an amazingly green lawn in no time!! One of my oldest, dearest friends recently became engaged and of course, I had to make her a congratulatory card! At first I was going to go more elegant (think damask, black & white) but then I found my newest Websters pages DP and knew that a softer, more romantic feel would be perfect… The card has a very vintage, soft, romantic feel that I’m absolutely in love with and Prima flowers have taken over my card making stash, aren’t they beautiful?
![]() The Prima pearls are another favorite of mine and the best thing is that its easily cut, if need be! This particular shape was just a smidgen too big for my card so I made a few nips and tucks and voila! Pearl/floral perfection!
I used Webster’s Journal card for the “Dear Sweetheart” sentiment, but wanted to add something more so brought out my sentiment from PTI’s Big and Bold Wishes stamp set, which was stamped in PTI’s Dark Chocolate ink And that, my friends, is an uber romantic engagement card for an uber romantic couple!! Have a great evening and Happy Crafting!! Supplies:
