I saw this stunning photo on Sherelle’s blog and it instantly tore at my heart! There is just something about Spring and baby animals that makes this little heart of mine go pitter patter:)The colors in the photo are amazing..stunning actually and it reignites that feeling in me of wanting to become a better photographer.. I think I’ll just add that to my “To Do” list for this summer!!

I know most of you are still experiencing quite of bit of snow..at least down South from us you are..which is ironic as Canada is experiencing our Spring..Americans are getting snow! Whodathunkit? But I’m sure you are all itching for sunshine and warm days, green grass and flowers..I know I am!!

I’ve been blog hopping a lot lately, trying to recapture my crafty mojo..I don’t know where its run off to but I hope it comes back soon! I finally finished getting in all my February PTI orders yesterday and there it sits..waiting for me to ink it up and create..so I hope to be back soon with some Spring beauties..but until then, Happy Spring and Happy Crafting!!

The countdown is on, only 23 days til I am officially a home owner!! Eeek! I have been busy planning away, visualizing what this “home sweet home” of mine will look and feel like. I imagine my niece running around giggling, having friends and family over for barbeques and relaxing amongst the flowers I will plant there in the coming months..its all very surreal!

I spoke with the lawyers yesterday and am going in on Thursday to sign my life over and make this official. Its intimidating and exciting at the same time, but I just can’t wait to get this process going! I am waving goodbye to my savings and hello to a whole new chapter in my life:)

I, of course, have become a stalker of this new home of mine (hehe) and I think the new neighbors are starting to figure out who the new owner is by my constant drive by’s. I’m serious, almost every day I drive by just to look at it! This place is slowly revealing itself to me as the snow melts and I love what I see!!

I can’t wait to share this new property with you and reveal my reno’s as Project 2010 goes underway in just 23 days!!!

Happy Tuesday everyone!!

Happy Monday everyone!

I hope you all had an amazing weekend! We had some beautiful weather up here, it definitely feels like Spring now. I love that as my alarm goes off at 6 in the morning, its light out and I can hear the birds chirping..the street sweepers are out collecting the gravel they laid down on the icy roads and our tulips and daffodils have broke ground already!! YAY!!! Finally!!
With Spring comes another season I like to refer to as “Baby season” ..expectant mothers can be seen everywhere and a few friends and relatives are included!! With that being said, I decided to take out some of my sweet Melissa Frances papers and make a few new baby cards that melt my heart…
This image is from a stamp I picked up at Paper Source while visiting Seattle this past Fall..its detail is amazing and I love the vintage feel it gives the card!! The sentiment is from Amuse
I used PTI’s Tea Duo Ink cubes to give the card an aged look and stamped both the image and sentiment in PTI’s Dark Chocolate ink
To finish off the card I used Melissa Frances’ Glittered Chipboard Hearts, PTI’s Spring Rain Vintage Buttons and PTI’s ribbon in Vintage Cream…now I just need a new baby boy!!
Have a great day everyone!! Happy Crafting!

In my generation of the Petrick family, I am the “baby” of the family… There was 3 girls and 6 boys and my beautiful cousin, who was my role model, is the eldest of our clan. She looked after us, took pride in us and always made us laugh .. and this week she suffered an immense loss that breaks my heart for her. I want to cry for her and ask “why?”, but most importantly I want her to know that I’m here for her and that I love her very, very much.

Please keep her and her family in your thoughts today..

Take Care

  • Anonymous - Baby D, You are so amazing and I feel the older you get the more I look up to you. I’m so proud of the way you are taking charge of your life and how successful you have become. I am proud to be your cousin and even more elated to call you my friend. xoxxoxReplyCancel

The windows are open all over the house, the sun is shining and the birds are chirping..Spring is almost here, I can feel it! I love the changing of the seasons..it brings a fresh change to our lives and I always feel so hopeful about what just lies ahead on the horizon!

Today has been a very quiet Sunday in the Petrick house.. I have been making cards to refill my stash and I’m so excited to share these with you in the coming days! My first card is a new one for Easter..and I have to tell you, I’m just loving the vintage supplies lately!!

For this card, I brought out my Crafty Secrets Easter Creative Scraps as well as Making Memories’ Garden Party paper line that was released 2 years ago and is by far still my favorite to this day for Spring crafting!!

This card just says “Spring” to me! The colors, the image..it just makes me incredibly happy 😉

I used Papertrey Ink’s Lemon Tart cardstock for the card base, ribbon and buttons (as well as a Ripe Avocado button to tie on the ribbon).

I will be posting this card on my Etsy shop soon so if you are interested in owning this cutie, you can find it here! Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone!!

Happy Crafting!
