Hey everyone! How was your Saturday’s?!!? Mine was absolutely perfect! The snow fell all day yesterday, so we woke up to a beautiful winter wonderland this morning! Sure it was cold and it signalled the first day of true winter for us..but I loved it! So fresh and pure…it made me so excited for the holidays!!

We also went on a tour of my coworkers dairy farm today..and although the smell wasn’t the best (could’ve been worse!) I had a GREAT time! Got to feed the baby calves, watch the mature cows go through the merry-go-round to get milked and played with the farm dogs…its a life I’ve always believed I would love!! All in all, not bad for a chilly Saturday:)
My card today is probably one of the best images I’ve seen of Santa in a very long time..as soon as I saw it..I didn’t hesitate to scoop it up online!! I’m sure you’ll all agree…

This image reminds me of Santa sketches from long ago..so I went with a very simple yet rustic theme with this card. I stamped my image with PTI’s True Black ink on to Kraft CS and then layered it on to a Kraft CS card base. The DP is from Making Memories Mistletoe line. The image and sentiment are from Flourishes Santa, I Believe stamp set.
To add just a little bit of colour, I used Red Stickles on the holly berries in his hat..and then decided to colour in the rim of his glasses with my silver paint pen…
So, what do you think?? I hope you are all enjoying your weekends and staying warm..no matter where you are!! Take care everyone..see you next week!

  • Mona L. Pendleton - Oh my Dawn! I love that vintagey looking Santa! Is that a stamp? No wonder you grabbed it when you saw it – something like that you have to grab when you first see it or it will not be there when you go back! Waking up to a wintry wonderland sounds so dreamy!!!ReplyCancel

  • Carla - I just love your cards! I can’t remember how I found you, but I’m so glad I did. I haven’t done any stamping/card making in quite a while, and your blog is just inspiring me to do some creating. I’m so jealous you had snow. I love snow, and am wishing we’ll have snow for Christmas. Thanks for sharing your gorgeous creations. Oh, take a minute and stop by my blog, I’m having a giveaway. Please feel free to throw your name in the “hat” if you think you’d be interested in what I’m offering.

    Thanks again for great inspiration.ReplyCancel

Happy Wednesday everyone!! So excited that tomorrow is already Thursday:)So many things are happening lately, it just seems like I barely get time to just sit down and make a card anymore. But I have been getting in new stamps almost weekly..so I think its safe to say that once I get the time and get my mojo back.. I’ll be in papercrafting heaven!

This little sweetie of a card was made using a stamp set from last year’s Stampin Up! lineup..the hilarious reindeer were the first to grab my attention and I knew I had to have them!!
I started by making my card base out of Kraft CS from PTI, then used new DP from Making Memories’ Mistletoe line (beautiful papers!). I stamped the snowflake background on to the Kraft using PTI’s Vintage Cream ink and then used PTI’s Pure Poppy, Ripe Avocado and Dark Chocolate CS for the matting around the sentiment and image
I coloured the image in using Prisma markers and then filled Rudolph’s nose in with Red Stickles for that little extra *sparkle*. The sentiment is from PTI’s Signature Christmas:)
That’s it for me tonight.. I want to wish all my American friends a very Happy Thanksgiving! I’ll be back tomorrow..have a great night everyone!
Happy Crafting!

Wow, I still cannot believe its been over a week since I last posted!!:(I am soo sorry!! Things have really gotten away from me lately and to be honest…after the hustle and bustle of my tradeshow on the 14th..I just needed to step away and take a breather! I think I’m also a bit in denial that Christmas is officially one month away!!

I have so many new stamps/products to share with you in the coming days and I promise to be back later with a new card..just wanted to quickly stop in and let you all know I’m still alive!! Take care and I’ll be back real soon!

Hey Everyone! Happy Monday!!

Today was back to the daily grind after being off for so many days in preparation of my tradeshow that happened this past Saturday. I had all these expectations of taking photos, but it just never happened:(I’m so sorry! But its a good thing because it means I was just so dang busy!! 😉

The tradeshow itself was a great day..I’m not even sure how many people came walking through our doors but I was definitely impressed and very happy with how it went for me. Lots of sales and even sold out of a few packaged items already in the morning!! It was a great feeling and I’m so excited now for next year already!!

I have another Christmas card to show you today…something tells me this is all I’ll be posting about for the next 39 days (and yes, there is only 39 days left til Christmas!!!) This sweet laundry line is from Taylored Expressions’ Wings of Joy stamp set as well as Cosmo Crickets new Holly Jolly line…

I used PTI’s Pure Poppy for my card base and then covered it with Cosmo Cricket (this line is seriously the cutest!) I then stamped my image and tried matching the colors as closely as possible to the items on the DP using my Copics..

The sentiment is from PTI’s Tree Timming Trio stamp set, using Pure Poppy ink…

I added a few hints of shimmer using red Stickles on the hats and birds’ wings..because you know its not a finished card until it sparkles!! haha

And thats my card for today! I’d love to hear what you think!!! Take care everyone and enjoy your nights!!

Happy Crafting!
