Happy Friday!!!!

I took today off from work to allow for some time to prep before tomorrow’s big Cozy Homes for Christmas tradeshow and so here I’m busy pricing, packaging and setting up my mock table to see what I like. As this is my first ever tradeshow with my cards, my tummy is filled to the brim with butterflies..but I’m excited to get this going and see how I do!! So, wish me luck for tomorrow..I’m going to need it:)
My card today is one that I will be selling tomorrow, a super easy little gingerbread man from PTI and a sentiment from SU!

I made my base out of kraft cs, inked the edges with PTI’s tea dyes, and then cut a small strip of some old KaiserCraft DP that I love to pieces:)I cut a strip of Pure Poppy CS and used my scalloped edge border punch to add a little interest to the card front and then tied my favorite ribbon, red gingham around it:)

I used PTI’s Dark Chocolate ink to stamp out Mr. Gingerbread man here and then cut him out carefully, free hand. You can’t really tell in these pictures but I used Star Dust Stickles on all his squiggly lines..just like a cookie!! Then, I used a Pure Poppy and Ripe Avocado Vintage button from PTI to coordinate with the DP
Then to finish off my card I stamped this sentiment from SU! into Dark Chocolate ink and used my Labels 1 Nesties to cut it out along with the Dark Chocolate matting. I wanted to give this card a little more of a homespun look so I went in afterwards with a white & brown inked pen and drew in some stitching lines..which I think just finished off the card perfectly!!
That’s it for me today..have a great Friday and a great weekend everyone!!

Happy Wednesday Everyone!!

A new week and a new Taylored Expressions sketch challenge!! I love opportunities like these which stretch your imagination and allow you to mix things up from your usual techniques or styles!! And with that, here is this weeks’ sketch..

And here is my submission for this week..

I went with Making Memories’ beautiful new Mistletoe paper line, (if you haven’t invested in this line yet I highly recommend you do! SO beautiful!!) For my stamped image and sentiment, I went with Taylors’ own Wings of Joy stamp set.. I fell in love with this set when it was revealed as it holds unlimited possibilites!!!

After coloring in my image with Copics, I added some Liquid Applique to the snow as well as Star Dust Stickles..
So, what do you think? I’d love to hear your feedback!!! I’m off to enjoy my Wednesday evening..and I hope you are too!
Happy Crafting!

Hey Everyone!

I hope you are all doing well this beautiful Tuesday night! I was having a pretty average evening until I decided to check on all my favorite blogs and saw that my submission to the Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge won and is part of the TESC89 Top Crops!! Check out the link to see my submission as well as all of the other crafty ladies’ great cards! I am blown away and so excited! This is something big for little ‘ol me and I couldn’t resist sharing my news and taking a moment to thank Taylor and all of you readers for your support!!
Now..on to my card 😉 I used Our Craft Lounge’s Holiday Cruiser stamp set for my card today, which I bought on impulse thanks to the blog candy shown many times by the talented Denise! I am still pretty new to layering and masking stamps, but was pretty happy with the end result!!

I stamped all the images together and then colored them in with my copics and then decided that the new Martha Stewart Christmas line of DP would be perfect for this card..have you seen these papers at Michaels yet? Gorgeous!!

I tied a sheer ribbon knot and then decided a snowflake glittered up with Lime Stickles would be the perfect embellie for this sweet little guy:)

Last but not least, I stamped the snowflake exhaust and sentiment in PTI True Black ink and then swiped some Waterfall Stickles on to cast a wintry sparkle to the card!
That’s it for me today, I hope you like the card and I will be back tomorrow with more Christmas card goodness 😉 Have a great night everyone!!

Happy Monday everyone!!

So sorry its been so quiet here on the blog..this tradeshow coming up on Saturday has me freaking out just a little, so I’m up late creating and covered in glitter every night..but I finally see the light!! I’ve been having so much fun creating Christmas cards lately that I am now officially in the Christmas spirit!! And with that being said.. I’m in love with my card that I have to show you today from Darkroom Door stamps..

Is this Santa image not the sweetest image you’ve ever seen? I saw him on another blog and just knew that I had to have it!! I inked him up with my PTI Ripe Avocado ink on Vintage Cream CS, then used a SU! DP for the background, which I embellished by stamping some cutesy stars..also from the stamp set..
I paired the Ripe Avocado with Scarlet Jewel, a beautiful color for the upcoming season! The sentiment is also from this set..
I have taken plenty of photos of my cards for the tradeshow and so I promise to post all week without missing a day!! Hope you all have a wonderful Monday:)
Happy Crafting!

Hey Everyone!

I can’t believe its Wednesday night already!! I’m completely losing track of time with all this prep work for next weeks’ craft fair..every day just seems to run in to the next, ever been there? I’m surrounded by glitter, stamps and new Christmas papers and let me tell you, I couldn’t be happier!!
I have a really simple, sweet Christmas card for you today using The Cats Pajamas (this set is soo cute!) I used PTI’s Pure Poppy and New Leaf cs as well as a DP from KaiserCraft..
I coloured all the images in with a mixture of Copics and Prisma’s, added some Star Dust Stickles to the trains’ smoke clouds and voila!!
Very quick card that gives great results:)I’ll be making more of these tonight for next weekend for sure!!
That’s all for me tonight, got to get back to that pile of glitter I call a desk!! Have a great night everyone!!
