Happy Halloween Everyone!

This is my first entry in the Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenges and I had so much fun participating!! I thought since it was Halloween, I would submit one last Halloween card for the year:)So, here is the sketch…

And here is my submission! I used Waltzingmouse stamps for the images (let me just say these images are amazing!)

All patterned paper is from Martha Stewart, Ribbon from Papertry Ink and the sentiment tag and star are from Making Memories…

I stamped the images in PTI’s True Black ink, then used Lime Stickles for the witches brew to give it a little *pop*! I used Versamark to stamp her “magic” coming from her finger and then heat embossed it with clear Filigree embossing powder

And because I just can’t resist showing off my niece again (see 1st post from earlier today for more).. I give you the sweetest little 14 month old bunny ever…

Happy Halloween Everyone!!

Happy Halloween everyone!! Sorry that the blog has been quiet, but its just been one of those weeks, you know? Nevertheless, to make up for my being a bad blogger, I have a LOT to share with you today!! First off some pictures..shall we?

Yesterday was “dress up” day in the office and I couldn’t WAIT to dress up as a witch and show off my EBay witch shoes!!

Here’s my spoooooky office 😉

And the annual “Boys and Me” photo..(see the shoes? They rock!)
And now for the real show stopper..my niece came trick or treating already this morning in her little bunny outfit..is she not the most adorable 14 month old ever??

I baked her chocolate chip cookies and threw in some cheerio’s and gold fish and happily sent her on her way to find more goodies!!

This is her saying goodbye one last time 😉

And it wouldn’t be Halloween without a pumpkin shot now would it? Here’s the 2009 Petrick Pumpkin!!!

Okay..so now that the photos are out of the way..on to the 2nd last card of Halloween 😉

I used my fun new image and sentiment from Eat Cake Graphics which is a company I just happened to stumble upon a few months ago and am SO glad that I did! Isn’t this hilarious?!?!

The sentiment reads, “Halloween Tip #72: Don’t drink and fly”!! And its hard to tell but that little potion bottle falling out of her purse reads “Fart ‘n Go”..hahaha too cute!
So that has been our Halloween around here..how about you? Have any trick or treaters getting anxious about tonight? I’m hoping to see quite a few cuties on our doorstep but the wind here might wreak havoc on some little ones as its blowing pretty good!!
I’m posting another card here in a minute so make sure to check in again soon! Happy Halloween everyone!!

So I thought I would put my Christmas card making to the side for this week and create cards in the fabulously spooky spirit of Halloween.. I have added to my Halloween stamp stash quite a bit this last year and feel horrible that I haven’t used them near enough! (I always think I’ll send out Halloween cards..but never do!)

Nevertheless.. on to my card!! I picked up this super cute set at Michaels a while back and this image/sentiment was one of my favorites..

I stamped it onto Choice White Cardstock from PTI with True Black ink and then coloured in the stockings with a Prisma from my stash. To glitzy it up a little (gotta love glitter!) I added some dabs of Yellow Stickles onto the star buckles of her shoes..hehehe

I used DP from last years’ SU! and then tied my PTI Plum Pudding and True Black ribbons up with a Plum Pudding button and a sentiment from PTI’s Spooky Sweets ll set

Last but not least, I stamped some fun little spiderwebs in Fresh Snow on to my Orange DP to give it just a little bit more of the old spook factor 😉 Simple and sweet!

Do you make cards for Halloween? Or do you focus more on treat bags and party invites? I think throughout the week I will focus on all kinds of paper goodies for this upcoming weekend and then on Saturday I will be back with photos of our office potluck (I’m going as a witch and am sooo excited to wear my witch shoes!!)…have a good night everyone!

Happy Sunday everyone!!

I hope you are all relaxing and taking in the last few weekends we might have of this beautiful Fall weather! Before we know it, our city will be blanketed in snow and Jack Frost will definitely be nipping at your nose! I dedicated most of my day to making Christmas cards for my craft show coming up on November 14th and I’m so happy with this cute little card I’m showcasing today!
I personally think snowmen are the sweetest little images and when I saw this and this stamp at Impress, I knew I had to have them! I started with a Kraft base from PTI, stamped my snowflake border from PTI’s Snowfall stamp set in Fresh Snow ink, and then cut a strip from Making Memories’ new Mistletoe Christmas line.

I dabbed Star Dust Stickles in the middle of every snowflake for a little glitter and then stamped my sentiment and snowman on to Kraft paper, layered it with some Pure Poppy CS from PTI and popped it up with some mini pop dots to add dimension

To finish off the card, since I don’t have a white marker.. I took a Q-Tip, dabbed it in Fresh Snow and then “painted” my snowman white!! Not bad hey?
All in all, I’m just in love with this card and I’m thinking I’ll need to stock up on just a few more for the Craft Show.. just incase! I’d love to hear your thoughts on this little guy!! Otherwise, take care and enjoy the rest of your Sunday:)

Hey Everyone!!

Its finally the middle of the week..which means another weekend is just on the horizon and I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait! We have a really big Christmas craft show coming up on Saturday and its almost become a tradition for my mom and I to walk around, buy jugs of cranberry cider and see whats new and cozy in Christmas decor for the coming season…

Speaking of Christmas, I’ve been crafting up holiday cards like crazy lately and when I saw Dawn McVey’s new Color Challenge, I knew that I wanted to try my hand at a Christmas card with PTI’s Green Leaf, Raspberry Fizz, Dark Chocolate, Vintage Cream and Kraft papers and inks…

I started out with a Kraft card base, then used Vintage Cream and Raspberry Fizz inks to stamp the snowflakes from PTI’s Snowfall for my background.

Then I used a sentiment from Dawn’s very own set called Signature Christmas, which was stamped in Dark Chocolate ink, also from PTI.

To finish off the card, I stamped 2 damask stockings from PTI’s Stocking Prints with Raspberry Fizz ink on to Raspberry Fizz CS and cut them out, then attached them to PTI’s New Leaf Bitty Dots Ribbon with a chocolate button..

And that’s my card for this weeks’ challenge! I can’t wait to hear what you think.. have a great rest of your week everyone!

Happy Crafting!
