Just 13 more hours til we hit the open road again! I’ve been busy doing laundry, packing, filling card orders and getting ready for the week ahead all day today and I love the feeling when you can sit down at night and know that you accomplished so much in one day! I mostly made birthday cards today which was actually a good thing as I hadn’t created any new designs lately and desperately needed to!

My first card is made with some older KI Memories paper that I had lying around and some TCP Stamps which I absolutely adore:)

How fun is this card? Its so bright and cheery! I love it!!

I coloured in the cakes using my Copics and finished them off with a dollop of Stickles:)
My next card was for a little boy about to turn 1! I had these pp laying around as well and for the life of me I can’t think of who makes them:(Sorry! But I will look into that and get back to you!

I used PTI’s Enchanted Evening and Summer Sunrise for CS as well as PTI’s Star Prints stamp set for the numbered stars..

In the end I was so happy with the cards I made today and it was such a nice feeling to just sit down and make a few random cards again..unlike the mass produced ones I’ve been making the last few weeks for Bustin Loose next weekend. But I’m proud to say I completed my 100th card today for next Sunday!! So lets just keep our fingers crossed that next weekend goes great for everyone and the weather stays beautiful:)I will be back to my regular blogging schedule on Monday, October 5th..so take care everyone and have a great week ahead!!

As promised in my previous post, I made sure to put up a couple of cards tonight:)I haven’t blogged all week and I cannot believe its already Thursday night! I had full intentions of doing a full post on Fall yesterday..and I still will..it’ll just have to wait til after our holidays! But never the less, I made another Fall themed card for my table next week and I thought I’d share it with you here..its very simple and cozy, just like the season 😉

I used PTI’s Vintage Cream, Pure Poppy, Dark Chocolate and Ripe Avocado CS as well as PTI’s 2009 Autumn Tags for the sentiment and the leaf image that is heat embossed on the left hand upper corner. To finish the card off I used some red gingham ribbon (my favorite item right now!) and a PTI vintage button. The leaves were cut out using my Spellbinders dies..these things are amazing!

Now, on to a Christmas card! I have been making cards for a few years now and in August of 2008, I started selling them to friends and family under the name Tailored Sentiments..the business had a very successful new year and like all growing things, I feel the need to expand. And my latest venture? Shabby Sentiments! This will be a small section of my business dedicated to one of a kind, shabby chic greeting cards and I’m kicking it off with Christmas!! No two cards I make under Shabby Sentiments will be the same, so once they are gone, they are gone!

What do you think?

The patterned papers are a mix of PTI and Holiday Telegrams from Chewing the Cud. The reindeer is another wood die from Michaels that has been painted, distressed, glittered..you name it! I love it! I have about 3-4 more deer that I’m making cards with and I can’t wait to see the finished products!

So thats it for me! Leave a comment below and let me know what you think!! I might not be blogging again til after our Holidays, so take care and I’ll be back soon!

Hey Everyone!!

BC and Seattle were amazing! We had a lot of fun, laughed a lot and took a ton of pictures..some of which I promise to share on here, but as to when that might be.. I’m hoping soon but this week is running away from me and I’m still crafting for next week’s table and we leave on Sunday for Vegas!! I have so many goodies that I want to show and I hope to be back tonight with the first of many Christmas cards that I’ve been working on (and love to pieces!)

So check back tonight and I promise to put at least one card up before I leave again!! Take Care

I’m in the midst of packing for our roadtrip and getting everything sorted, but wanted to post one more card before heading out:)I needed a thank you card for my great aunt who loves homemade cards with a country feel and I knew exactly what I wanted to make for her..

I used PTI’s Everyday Button Bits for the cherry image and the sentiment and used patterned papers from October Afternoons’ Cherry Hill… I love these papers:)

And of course it isn’t country without some red gingham, now is it? This is my new favorite ribbon I think! I want to use it ALL THE TIME! haha..I’m sure you’ll see more of this in upcoming projects 😉

So that’s my final card before hitting the open road! I hope to be back on the 21st with photos of our BC/Seattle roadtrip and hopefully at least a couple of cards before heading off to Vegas!! Have a great week everyone:)

I just wanted to give everyone a heads up that my blog will be a little quiet in the coming 3 weeks.. I am up to my eyeballs in greeting cards for the upcoming Bustin Loose event on October 4th (my goal was to make 100 cards for my table and I’m currently at 70!) And we’re also going on a couple of trips this month as well:)

First stop is a roadtrip through beautiful BC (we’ve tried to go back every summer since 2005) and we are ending in Seattle (hello Impress and Amuse stamps!!). Then we’ll be back for a week where I will finish setting up my table to how I like it and then we’re gone again to LAS VEGAS! Its our first time in Sin City and we’ll be going with Jeff and Kim and I cannot tell you how excited I am! I promise to post photo’s of both trips as well as my table and the event on October 4th and then I PROMISE I will be back with tons of Halloween and Christmas treats!!

AND, I was looking over my mountain of supplies this weekend and realized that I just have way too much stuff (I will never admit this to Luke of course) and so, starting in October, you might just find yourself the lucky winner of a giveaway!! 😉 Until then, I will try to post a card here and there..but otherwise enjoy your ventures into the upcoming Fall season and I will be back soon!!

Take Care,
D
